The Contemporary Keyboard Society is a new music ensemble that was formed in Montreal in 2006 by Katelyn Clark (harpsichord), Xenia Pestova (piano), and Fernando Rocha (percussion) with the intention to encourage creation and promote the performance of new repertoire for keyboards. Along with the performance of solos, duos, and trios by the ensemble’s members, the CKS welcomes collaborations with musicians, composers, and artists of various media for interdisciplinary creation.
In the 2008/2009 concert season, CKS will collaborate with Canadian composers Emily Hall, Chris Paul Harman, and Michel Frigon on the creation of new works for piano, harpsichord and percussion.
