It's a busy week at the Music Gallery. Tonight (April 23), the AD HOC / Ensemble makes the Toronto stop of their cross-Canada tour. AD HOC is an ongoing collaboration between various new music presenters across the country, and this year's project takes the form of an improvising supergroup made up of players from four different Canadian cities and scenes. Tomorrow night (April 24), emerging new music quartet Diapason present their concert The Slow Monument of Sound, rescheduled from its original date of March 8, which was cancelled due to a snowstorm (doesn't that seem like a long time ago?). And Friday (April 25), we are pleased to present the Vancouver Chinese Music Ensemble, one of the world's finest Chinese music groups, and an incredible band of players.
