David Dacks has over 25 years of experience as a music programmer, journalist and broadcaster. Currently an assistant editor at Exclaim, Canada's pre-eminent music magazine, his work has also been featured in Musicworks, Spinner.ca (AOL Canada), The Grid, Paste, and on CBC Radio. He hosted "The Abstract Index", a longstanding and popular community forum for new ideas in music, for 10 years on CIUT FM. For the past 2 years, he was the Music Gallery's Guest Curator for the New World Series. In recognition of his accomplishments in the fields of contemporary and new music, David Dacks served on the 2011 Grand Jury for the Polaris Music Prize.

Jason Aviss

Jason Aviss received his Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto (2006), and a post-graduate certificate in Arts Administration—Cultural Management from Humber College (2009). A seasoned administrator in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors, Jason has been a familiar face to the Music Gallery's patrons since 2008 when he started as an intern. While performance remains primarily a past time, Jason's abilities as a trombonist and arranger are documented in Divorce Lawyers I Shaved My Head, the 2009 debut album by Toronto-based collective Jordaan Mason and the Horse Museum.

Active for over twenty years in all aspects of music and sound production Paul Hodge's numerous recordings have been broadcast on City-TV, CBC, BBC Great Britain and NHK Japan and released on LP, CD and cassette. As a member of The Glass Orchestra, an ensemble that performs entirely on glass instruments, he has performed across Asia, North America and Europe. Non-curricular interests include astronomy, parenting and surfing (in alphabetical order).

Canadian pianist and conductor Gregory Oh has always had commitment issues, and believes firmly in keeping his options open. He holds graduate degrees from the University of Toronto, where he completed his studies with Marietta Orlov as the top graduating pianist, and the University of Michigan, where he worked with Martin Katz. From the keyboard he has premiered works by Andre Ristic, Walter Buczynski, Simon Bainbridge, Frederic Rzewski, Phillip Glass, James Rolfe, Nicole Lizee, Inouk Demers, Aaron Gervais, Andrew Staniland, Barbara Croall, Paul Frehner, Alice Ho, Chris Harman, Brian Current, Heather Schmidt, Stewart Goodyear, Quinsin Nachoff, Geof Holbrook, Juliet Palmer, Allison Cameron, Erik Ross, Andrew Downing, Alain Beauchesne, David Adamcyk and Veronika Krausas. He has appeared with the UTSO, the Graz Hochschule Orchestra, the Prince George Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra London, the Brott Festival Orchestra and the Festival Players, and has given recitals throughout North America and Europe. As a chamber musician, he has shared the stage with musicians like Shauna Rolston, Patrick Gallois, Alain Trudel, Jens Lindemann, James Thompson, John Marcellus, Lorand Fenyves, the St. Lawrence String Quartet, Allyson McHardy, Measha Brueggergosman, Steve Reich and NEXUS.
